I remember seeing Geogia Brown as Nancy in Oliver on Broadway in or around 1964 -1965. I was 13-14 year old Inspiring, beautiful Georgia Brown. Now 50 years later, without any reminder, I went to bed last night and suddenly song "It's Fine Life" rose to life in my memory without thought or provocation. That song brought Geogia back to life for me and of course her classic 'As Long as He Needs Me'. I did not know she passed at age 58 in 1992 until I looked her up on internet. She has not died in our memory but remains Nancy Thanks Georgia , Thanks Ron Moody (Fagin) Gone but not forgotten. " It's a Fine, Fine Life.............................

Terrible singing !.. the song was written in Spanish by the Chilean Joaquin Prieto in 1961 and sang by Antonio Prieto… there is NO language translation that will honor the gift of the song writer and the singer, his brother Antonio. By the way, I got married in February 1961 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and that was OUR song ! I am writing this from Fishkill, NY… 63 years later.
